Refund policy

Online Return Policy 

Effective date: August 13, 2025 

This Online Return Policy applies to parts ordered online at xpeditiontrailers.com only. It does not apply to trailer purchases, custom builds, or in-person sales. 

1) Return Window 

  • Standard returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. 

  • The 30-day period begins on the carrier’s confirmed delivery date. 

2) Return Eligibility 

Items must be: 

  • New, unused, uninstalled, and unmodified. 

  • In original packaging with all hardware, accessories, and documentation. 

  • Clean and free of wear, installation marks, or road use. 

Items not eligible for return: 

  • Installed, used, modified, cut, welded, or painted items. 

  • Custom or made-to-order parts. 

  • Electrical or electronic components once opened. 

  • Clearance, final sale, or special-order items. 

  • Gift cards. 

3) Restocking Fees and Non-Refundable Costs 

  • Non-defective returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. 

  • Original outbound shipping is non-refundable. If you received free or discounted shipping, the actual outbound cost may be deducted from the refund. 

  • Returns showing signs of installation, missing components, or damaged packaging may incur additional refurbishment fees or be refused. 

4) Return Shipping Responsibility 

  • For buyer’s remorse, wrong part ordered, or compatibility issues, you are responsible for return shipping. 

  • If we made a shipping error or the product is defective on arrival, we will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs once verified. 

  • LTL and oversized returns must be palletized and photo-documented before pickup. 

5) Required RMA and How to Start a Return 

You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization before sending anything back. Returns without an RMA may be refused. 

  1. Email sales@xpeditiontrailers.com with your order number, the item SKU, and reason for return. 

  1. Attach clear photos of the item and packaging if opened or if damage is claimed. 

  1. We will reply with your RMA number and shipping instructions. 

  1. Write the RMA number on the outside of the box and include it inside the package. 

6) Packaging and Condition on Arrival 

  • Ship in an outer carton. Do not ship using only the manufacturer box. 

  • Use adequate padding to prevent damage. 

  • Keep tracking and proof of drop-off. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit. 

7) Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items 

  • Inspect your shipment at delivery. If damage is visible, note it with the driver and take photos. 

  • Report shipping damage, shortages, or incorrect items within 5 business days of delivery to sales@xpeditiontrailers.com. 

  • Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Discarding packaging can void claims. 

8) Defects and Warranty Support 

  • For suspected defects, contact us with photos and a description of the issue. We will troubleshoot and, if applicable, assist with repair, replacement, or warranty evaluation per the product’s warranty terms. 

  • Warranty coverage varies by product. Approval of a return under warranty requires inspection and confirmation. 

9) Third-Party and Drop-Ship Items 

  • Some parts ship directly from the manufacturer or an authorized partner and may need to be returned to that party. 

  • Those items are subject to the third party’s return and warranty policies, which may differ from ours. 

  • It is incumbent on the purchaser to review and understand any applicable third-party return and shipping policies before ordering. 

  • We will help coordinate the RMA, but timelines, fees, and acceptance are governed by the third party’s policy. 

10) Refunds and Processing Time 

  • Once your return is received, allow 3 to 5 business days for inspection. 

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3 to 10 business days after inspection. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit. 

  • Refunds will reflect deductions for restocking fees, non-refundable outbound shipping, and any return label we provided if applicable. 

11) Exchanges 

  • Exchanges follow the same RMA process. Price differences and shipping are collected or refunded accordingly. 

  • If the replacement item is out of stock, we can issue a refund per this policy. 

12) International Returns 

  • Duties, taxes, brokerage, and import fees are non-refundable by Xpedition Trailers. 

  • Mark return shipments as “returned goods.” Fees assessed due to improper declarations may be deducted from the refund. 

13) Refused or Undeliverable Shipments 

  • Refused, returned-to-sender, or undeliverable packages are treated as returns and may incur return freight charges in addition to the 20% restocking fee. 

14) Policy Changes 

  • We may update this policy at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to the website and apply to orders placed after the effective date unless otherwise stated.
